By Train:To reach Kiel from any large German city by train one has to change trains at
Hamburg main station to a train directed to the final destination Kiel.
Within Germany there are fast trains (Intercity Express, ICE) which connect Kiel
via Hamburg with Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf, Berlin, etc. By airplane:
If you reach Germany by plane to Frankfurt or Cologne/Bonn it is most convenient to
take a connecting flight directly to Kiel. There are 1-3 flights per day from each of
these two airports to Kiel
(airport: Kiel-Holtenau).
From there you should take a taxi to your hotel. Arriving by car from the south:Take the motorway/freeway via Hamburg (Autobahn A7),
change to no. A215 at the motorway bifurcation (Autobahndreieck Bordesholm). |
