Yuri L'vovich Klimontovich died
On 27 November 2002 Yuri Klimontovich (born 28 September 1924)
died from cancer.
He was one of the most outstanding theoretical physicists of
the 2nd half of the 20th century, a leading expert in Statistical Physics,
Kinetic Theory, Plasma Physics, Theory of Fluctuations,
Selforganization and Turbulence. He was a teacher for generations
of physicists in many countries, a remarkable person and friend.
His exceptional books and papers, original ideas and approaches
remain with us.
